They were extremely nice on the phone while booking the appointment, and explained exactly when the technician would arrive. My home warranty company has been giving me the run around, I decided to just pay to get the issue fixed on my own. I performed a Google search and found Appliance Works. Based on the number and quality of the existing reviews I called immediately. I got an appointment less than 48 hours from the time I called, completely reasonable service fee, and my technician Scott was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, my washing machine isn't salvageable. Fortunately, Scott did a full diagnostic and figured out that spending $300 on the part we knew was broken would be futile, since there were much larger issues. Scott went above and beyond to get the job done! I was relieved when he came so quickly to look at my refrigerator that stopped working. The control panel needed to be replaced but it would have to be ordered as nobody had it in stock in the valley. That would mean a couple more days of keeping my perishables on ice in my bathtub! Not an ideal situation. Even so, Scott was so personable and positive that he made me feel better about it. He said it was like camping which made me laugh! Before leaving, he did mention that there was a chance that he might happen to have this particular control panel, unused, in his garage. Excellent service and was honest enough to tell me the repair cost more than a new replacement. Originally thought it may be ball bearings and found it to be the sator motor. This with current repair costs plus no guarantee of a future bearing issue (also a high cost repair) l asked about their inventory. Ty called the store for me to confirm hours as it was close to 4pm. I was able to purchase a replacement by 5pm and a %10 discount added due to just having a service call.read more

Scott arrived not only on time, but also actually a bit early. First impression was that he was very clean cut. He presented himself very professionally and friendly. He performed the work in a timely fashion and with a smile. He is extremely pleasant, patient, professional, knowledgeable and informative. He is totally honest in that he doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. As a matter of fact, he even thought it might be best for me just to buy a new oven, rather than repair mine, since it is going on 20 years old. Definitely not in his favor, but nonetheless, he offered that option graciously. I hope nothing of mine breaks again, but I would certainly welcome the opportunity to have Scott come back and perform the work if it did. Now on the other hand, the lady that answers the phone, Christine, is not as pleasant. She is efficient, but quite curt, abrupt and not warm or welcoming at all. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't read such great reviews on the company, I probably would have hung up and moved on to the next one.
