Scheduling the appointment was easy and the girl handling it was very pleasant. The tech who came out was extremely knowledgeable and called ahead to let me know when he'd be here. Chris just left our house, and we are so pleased with his work. I called yesterday, and Jennifer was so helpful! I thought that maybe they would have to come out and diagnose the problem and then come back. She assured me that if they had the parts that Chris would finish the job in one visit. She was right! They were extremely nice on the phone while booking the appointment, and explained exactly when the technician would arrive. My home warranty company has been giving me the run around, I decided to just pay to get the issue fixed on my own. I performed a Google search and found Appliance Works. Based on the number and quality of the existing reviews I called immediately. I got an appointment less than 48 hours from the time I called, completely reasonable service fee, and my technician Scott was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, my washing machine isn't salvageable. Fortunately, Scott did a full diagnostic and figured out that spending $300 on the part we knew was broken would be futile, since there were much larger issues. Scott went above and beyond to get the job done! I was relieved when he came so quickly to look at my refrigerator that stopped working. The control panel needed to be replaced but it would have to be ordered as nobody had it in stock in the valley. That would mean a couple more days of keeping my perishables on ice in my bathtub! Excellent service and was honest enough to tell me the repair cost more than a new replacement. Originally thought it may be ball bearings and found it to be the sator motor. This with current repair costs plus no guarantee of a future bearing issue (also a high cost repair) l asked about their inventory. Ty called the store for me to confirm hours as it was close to 4pm. He performed the work in a timely fashion and with a smile. He is extremely pleasant, patient, professional, knowledgeable and informative. He is totally honest in that he doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. As a matter of fact, he even thought it might be best for me just to buy a new oven, rather than repair mine, since it is going on 20 years old. Definitely not in his favor, but nonetheless, he offered that option graciously. I hope nothing of mine breaks again, but I would certainly welcome the opportunity to have Scott come back and perform the work if it did. Now on the other hand, the lady that answers the phone, Christine, is not as pleasant. She is efficient, but quite curt, abrupt and not warm or welcoming at all. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't read such great reviews on the company, I probably would have hung up and moved on to the next one. Jeff is clearly expert at his craft. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my dishwasher after a thorough investigation and clearly explained my options. He delivered a quote for the repair but advised me that I could continue to use my older-model machine for some time - and that for the estimated repair cost it might be worth considering purchasing new. I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Jeff and Appliance Works. The $55 was a very fair price for diagnosing my issue.
